Collaboration of Schools and Industry (CoSI) Programme
Business Education Matters Ltd (BEM) manages the CoSI Programme on behalf of Chemicals Northwest. There are two separate schemes; Science for Life (S4L) and Positive Perceptions of Industry (P2I).
The Positive Perceptions of Industry (P2I) scheme is to impress positive perceptions of science and engineering industry on sixth-formers. This is achieved through a 1-day site visit and a school session in which the pupils report back to their class.
The Science for Life (S4L) scheme involves the development of company-related teaching resources supporting specific school science courses. Also included is a company visit and follow-up cascade exercise in school from older pupils to younger pupils.
