£50,000 scheme for Halton businesses to recruit apprentices
Halton Borough Council has launched a scheme to encourage businesses in Halton to recruit apprentices.
Both SMEs (small to medium-sized businesses, with less than 250 employees) and larger companies are eligible to apply. A company which takes on an apprentice will be eligible for a grant of £2,000.00
This grant will comprise of £250 at the start, a £75 per week wage (for 20 weeks) with an extra £250 paid to the employer when the apprentice signs up to an accredited training scheme.
Apprentice training is free and will be arranged for the employer. Apprentices can be of any age.
